CEMETERIES ORDINANCE

CANBERRA PUBLIC CEMETERY REGULATIONS*

REGULATIONS 1966, No. I t

The Third Schedule to the Canberra Public Cemetery Regulations is

amended—

(a) by omitting items 4 to 8 (inclusive) and inserting the following

items in their stead:—

" 4 . Burial, in a grave excavated to a depth not

exceeding five feet, of—

(a)	a person of four years of age or more on
(i) a Sunday or holiday . .	18 0 0
(ii) a Saturday	12 0 0
(iii) any other day	9 0 0

(6) a child under four years of age (including

a still-born child) on—

(i) a Sunday or holiday	9 0 0
(ii) a Saturday	6 0 0
(iii) any other day	4 10 0

" 4 A . Burial, in a grave excavated to a depth of six feet—the fee that would be payable if the burial were in a grave excavated to a depth not exceed- ing five feet together with an additional fee of Four pounds.

" 5. Interment of ashes . .	. . 2 0 0
" 6 . Exhumation and reburial in same allotment in the Cemetery (not including removal and replacement of any memorial or other improve-

ment to an allotment) . . 25 0 0

" 7. Exhumation and reburial in another allotment in
the Cemetery (not including removal and

replacement of any memorial or other improve-

ment to an allotment) . . . . . . 34 0 0

" 8 . Exhumation for removal of body to another

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

cemetery (not including removal and replace-

ment of any memorial or other improvement

to an allotment) . . . . . . 25 0 0 " ;

and

(b) by omitting item 12 and inserting the following item in its

stead:—

"il2. (a) Supplying and fixing a tablet in a lawn burial

area and inscribing with the number ot the

grave and forty or less other characters 5 0 0

(b) Inscribing on a tablet in a lawn burial area characters in excess of those covered by the last preceding paragraph—an amount equal to the cost to the Trustees.".
