Regulations under the Canberra Commercial Development

Authority Ordinance 1974.*

hereby make the following Regulations under the Canberra Commercial Develop­

ment Authority Ordinance 1974.

R E G U L A T I O N S

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Canber ra Commerc ia l Development

Author i ty Regulations.

2. (1) T h e Cha i rman shall be paid in respect of each day on which he at tends

a meet ing of the Au tho r i t y—

(a) if the duration of the meeting on that day is not less than 3 hours—

a fee of $60; and

(b) if the duration of the meeting on that day is less than 3 hours—a fee of $40.

( 2 ) A member other than the Cha i rman shall be paid in respect of each day

on which he attends a meeting of the Au thor i ty—

(a) if the duration of the meeting on that day is not less than 3 hours— a fee of $50; and

(b ) if the durat ion of the meet ing on that day is less than 3 hou r s—a fee

of $30.

(3 ) Subject to sub-regulation ( 5 ) , the Cha i rman shall be paid for each day on which he is engaged, with the approval of the Author i ty , on business of the Author i ty—

(a) if the period during which he is so engaged on that day is not less

than 3 hou r s—a fee of $60; and

(b) if the period during which he is so engaged on that day is Jess than 3 hour s—a fee of $40.

( 4 ) Subject to sub-regulation ( 5 ) , a member other than the Cha i rman shall be paid for each day on which he is engaged, with the approval of the Authori ty , on business of the Au thor i ty—

(a) if the period during which he is so engaged on that day is not less than 3 hours—a fee of $50; and

(b) if the period during which he is so engaged on that day is less than

3 hour s—a fee of $30.

(5 ) Where a m e m b e r —

(a )	at tends a meeting of the Author i ty ; and
(b)	is, on the same day, engaged for a period, with the approval of the Author i ty , on other business of the Authori ty ,

a fee is not payable t o that m e m b e r in accordance with sub-regulation ( 3 ) or ( 4 ) , but the fee payable to him in respect of that day in accordance with sub-regulation (1 ) or ( 2 ) is the fee that would be payable to h im in respect of that day if, on that day, he had, in addit ion to at tending the meeting referred t o in paragraph ( a ) , also at tended a meeting of the Author i ty during the period referred to in

paragraph

( b ) .

W h e r e —

(a)	a member is necessarily absent overnight from his place of residence in order to at tend a meeting of the Author i ty ; or
( b )	a m e m b e r is necessarily absent overnight from his place of residence in order to perform any business of the Author i ty on which he is engaged with the approval of the Author i ty ,

travelling allowance in respect of the period of absence is payable to him at the

rate of $37 per day.

( 7 ) Travelling al lowance payable unde r sub-regulation (6 ) is in addition to,

and does not include, the cost of conveyance.
