BUILDING AND SERVICES ORDINANCE.

CANBERRA AND JERVIS BAY ELECTRIC SUPPLY REGULATIONS.*

REGULATIONS 1961. No. ll.f

1. Regulation 2 of the Canberra and Jervis Bay Electric Supply Definitions.

Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting the definition of " Jervis Bay "; and

(b) by omitting from the definition of " Rural Area" the words

" or Jervis Bay ".

2. Regulation 6A of the Canberra and Jervis Bay Electric Supply charges for

(a) by omitting paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (2.); ruraUnd'*1,

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (4.) all words from and g^ggy**"™

including the words " as follows:—" and inserting in their stead the words " Six pence per unit for all units supplied to the premises during the period to which the reading relates as primary units, Two pence per unit for all units so supplied as secondary units and One and four-fifths pence per unit for all other units so supplied.";

(c) by inserting after sub-regulation (4.) the following sub-regula-

tions:—

" (4AA.) For the purposes of the last preceding sub-regula- tion, of the units supplied to premises during the period to which a reading relates—

(a) a number of units calculated at the rate of 10 units per month, or, if the number of units supplied to the premises during that period is less than the number of units so calculated, the number of units so supplied, shall be taken to have been supplied as primary units; and

(b)

a number of units calculated at the rate of 190 units per month, or, if the number of units supplied to the premises during that period exceeds the num- ber of units taken to have been supplied during that period as primary units but is less than a number of units calculated at the rate of 200 units per month, the number of units supplied during that period in excess of the number taken to have been supplied as primary units, shall be taken to have been supplied as secondary units.

" (4AB.) Where the period to which a reading relates is a part of a month or is a number of months and a part of a month, the part of a month shall, for the purpose of calculat- ing the number of units to be charged as primary units or

secondary units at the rates specified in sub-regulation (4.) of this regulation in respect of the period, be taken to be a complete month.";

(d) by omitting paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (6.);
(e) by omitting the proviso to sub-regulation (6c ) ;
(/) by omitting sub-regulation (8.); and

(g) by omitting paragraphs (b) and (c) of the definition of " floor

area " in sub-regulation (9.).

these Regulations, are payable in respect of the supply to premises of all electricity recorded by any reading, made on or after the date on which these Regulations are notified in the Gazette, of the meter or meters used for the purpose of ascertaining the quantity of electricity supplied to those premises.
