No 66)

1     Name of plan

This plan is Byron Local Environmental Plan 1988 (Amendment

No 66).

2     Aims of plan

This plan aims to prohibit clubs, commercial premises, hostels, hotels, motels, residential flat buildings, shops, tourist facilities and dual occupancies on certain land within Zone No 7 (f2) (the Urban Coastal Land Zone) under Byron Local Environmental Plan 1988.

3     Land to which plan applies

This plan applies to so much of the land within Zone No 7 (f2) (the Urban Coastal Land Zone) as is shown edged heavy black and stippled on the map marked “Byron Local Environmental Plan 1988 (Amendment No 66)” deposited in the office of the Byron Council.

4 Amendment of Byron Local Environmental Plan 1988

Byron Local Environmental Plan 1988 is amended by inserting after clause 32 (3) the following subclause:

The council shall not consent to the carrying out of development on land shown edged heavy black and stippled on the map marked “Byron Local Environmental Plan 1988 (Amendment No 66)” for the purpose of clubs, commercial premises, hostels, hotels, motels, residential flat buildings, shops or tourist facilities or for a purpose that would otherwise be permissible with consent under clause 17 (Dual occupancy).
