An Act to amend the Business Names Act, 1962, in consequence of the reconstitution of the Corporate Affairs Commission. [Assented to, 17th May, 1979.]

B E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and

with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1.      This Act may be cited as the "Business Names (Corporate

Affairs Commission) Amendment Act, 1979".

1. (1 ) This section and section 1 shall commence on the date

of assent to this Act.

(2) Except as provided in subsection ( 1 ) , this Act shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (2) of the Securities Industry (Corporate Affairs Commission) Amendment Act, 1979.

3. The Business Names Act, 1962, is amended—

(a)	by omitting from section 3 (4) the words "Registrar under this Act" and by inserting instead "Corporate Affairs Commission";
(b)	by omitting from section 4 (1) the definition of
"Commissioner".
