AN ACT to amend the Business Names Act

1962-1982.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Business

Section 26

amended.

2. Section 26 of the principal Act is amended by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection-

(2) This section does not apply to

(a)

an invitation to the public made by a public company in conformity with the requirements of the Companies (Western Australia) Code;

(b)

an invitation made to a person whose ordinary business it is to lend money;

Or

(c)

a prescribed invitation or class of invitations or an invitation made to a prescribed person or class of persons. ".

Section 32

amended.

3. Section 32 of the principal Act is amended in paragraph (a) of subsection (1) by deleting "(not exceeding twenty dollars)".
