1,048 (1tePitshnt1 ANNO VICESIMO QUINTO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 90 of 1976 An Act to amend the BusinessNames Act 1962-1971 in certain particulars and for another purpose [ASSENTED TO 17TH DECEMBER, 1976] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Business Names Act Amendment Act 1976. (2) The Business Names Act 1962-1971 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act'as amended by this Act may be cited as the Business Names Act1962-1976. 2. Amendment of s. 32. Section 32 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words " (not exceeding ten pounds) " occurring in subsection (2) (d). 3. Amendments relating to currency references . The Principal Act is amended as set forth in the Schedule to this Act. 4. Validity of certain fees. All fees prescribed by The Business Names Regulations of 1962 prior to the commencement of this Act that purport to have been prescribed under the authority of the Principal

Business Names Act Amendment Act 1976, No. 90 1.049 Act shall, notwithstanding any defect in, or the absence of any authority for, the prescribing thereof, be deemed to have been validly prescribed under the authority of the Principal Act, and on the commencement of this Act shall be as valid and effectual as if prescribed under the authority of the Principal Act as amended by this Act.
