The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to revoke regulations and forms in the Business Franchise (Tobacco and Petroleum Products) Regulations 1992 as a result of the passage of the Business Franchise Fees (Safety Net) Act 1997.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under section 22 of the Business Franchise (Tobacco) Act 1974.

3. Principal Regulations

In these Regulations the Business Franchise
(Tobacco and Petroleum Products) Regulations
19921 are called the Principal Regulations.

4. Amendment of objectives of Principal Regulations

In regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations—

(a) paragraphs (a) and (b) are revoked;

(b) in paragraph (c) omit "other".

5. New regulation 3 substituted

For regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations
substitute—

"3. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections
15(3), 18A(3), 19BC(2), 19EA(2) and 22 of
the Business Franchise (Tobacco) Act

1974.".

6. Revocation of regulations and forms

In the Principal Regulations—

(a) regulations 4, 5, 5A, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 14A, 17 and 18 are revoked;

(b) Schedule 1 is revoked;

(c) in Schedule 2 all forms except Form 14 are revoked.
