(TOBACCO) AMENDMENT

ACT 1994

AN ACT to amend the Business Franchise (Tobacco)

Act 1975.

[Assented to 15 April 1994.]

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Business Franchise (Tobacco)

Amendment Act 1994.

Commencement

2.    This Act comes into operation on the day on which it

receives the Royal Assent.

Principal Act

3. In this Act the Business Franchise (Tobacco) Act 1975* is

referred to as the principal Act.

Section 7A amended

4.     Section 7A of the principal Act is amended by deleting "7th"

in the 2 places where it occurs and substituting the following —

Section 12A (1) amended and transitional provision

5.    (1) Section 12A (1) of the principal Act is amended by

deleting "4 times" and substituting the following —

twice

(2) Section 12A of the principal Act as amended by subsection (1) applies to any period in the period beginning on 1 December 1993 and ending immediately before the commencement of this section for which a licence was required to be, but was not, held.
