BUSH FIRES ACT 1949—PROCLAMATION

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 41I of the Bush Fires Act 1949, do, by this my Proclamation, amend Schedule 3 to that Act by inserting in appropriate

order under the heading “Shires of:” the words “Merriwa” and

“Murrurundi”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this Proclamation is to include Merriwa and Murrurundi in Schedule 3 to the Bush Fires Act 1949. The effect of this is to place those two local government areas among those within which all the powers, authorities, duties and functions of the Co-ordinating Committee and the Chief Co-ordinator under that Act may be exercised or discharged.

This Proclamation is made under section 411 of the Bush Fires Act 1949.
