W | Majesty, intituled "An Act to make provision against the dan- ger of Bush and other Fires," it was amongst other things enacted, that no fire should be lighted for the burning of stubble, hay, or grass, between the first day of December and the fifteenth day of March, unless between the hours of six and ten in the afternoon: And whereas inconvenience has been found to arise, in certain districts, in consequence of the difficulty of burning stubble within such hours, and it is expcdicnt to give power to Districts Councils to vary the time within which stubble may be burned within their respective Districts: Re it thcrcforc enacted, by the Gowrnor-in-Chief of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows- |
