Bus Safety Act 2009

Bus Safety Amendment Regulations 2019

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Bus Safety Regulations 2010 as a consequence of the enactment of the Transport Legislation Amendment Act 2019—

(a)to replace a reference to VicRoads with a reference to the Secretary; and

(b)to revoke the definition of VicRoads.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 72 of the Bus Safety Act 2009.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 January 2020.

4Definitions

In regulation 4 of the Bus Safety Regulations 2010[1]—

(a)in the definition of accredited bus operator number plates, for "VicRoads" substitute "the Secretary";

(b)in the definition of the Act, for "2009;" substitute "2009.";

(c)the definition of VicRoads is revoked.
