a Tramroad from Burwood to the Wharf at

Newcastle. [3rd December, 1853.]

reign of Her present Majesty intituled "An Act to authorize the con-W H E R E A S an Act of the Governor and Legislative Council of New South Wales was passed in the fourteenth year of the

" tinuation of a Tramroad from, Burwood to the Wharf at Newcastle'''' whereby James Mitchell of the city of Sydney Esquire the owner of lands commonly known by the name of Burwood situate near New­ castle in the county of Northumberland in the Colony of New South Wales was authorized under certain conditions in the said Act mentioned to continue and complete a Tramroad from the north boundary of the said Burwood Estate over and through certain por­ tions of land of the Australian Agricultural Company to the Port of Newcastle aforesaid And whereas the time limited by the said Act for the completion of the said Tramroad was the term of two years from the twentieth day of September one thousand eight hundred and fifty And whereas another Act of the Governor and Legislative Council of the said Colony was passed in the fifteenth year of the reign of her present Majesty intituled " An Act to amend an Act 'intituled " ' An Act to authorize the continuation of a Tramroad from Burwood, " ' to the Wliarf at Newcastle' " whereby it was amongst other things enacted that the time limited by the said firstly recited Act for the completion

completion of the said Tramroad should be extended to the term of two years from the passing of the Act now in recital namely from the twentieth day of December one thousand eight hundred and fifty-one And whereas it is expedient further to extend the time for the com­ pletion of the said Tramroad as hereinafter mentioned Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of New South Wales with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof as follows—

1. The time limited by the said lastly recited Act for the completion of the said Tramroad shall be extended to the term of two years beyond the time thereby limited namely until the twentieth day of December one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five.
