AN ACT to amend the Bulk Handling Act, 1967-1976.

[Assented to 30th August, 1979.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Bulk and citation.

Handling Act Amendment Act, 1979.

(2) In this Act the Bulk Handling Act, 1967-1976 as approved for reprint

is referred to as the principal Act.

Section 52A

added. 2. The principal Act is amended by adding

immediately after section 52 a section as follows-

water rate. 52A. (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of any other Act or anything done or purporting to be done under any other Act the water rate payable by the Company in respect of Area A shall be twenty-five percentum of the rate determined in accordance with the Metropolitan Water Supply, Sewerage, and Drainage Act, 1909, but nothing in this section shall apply to any portion of Area A which shall be occupied as a permanent residence or upon which a permanent residence shall be erected.

Subsection (1) of this section is deemed to have come into operation on and from the commencement of the rateable year ending June 30, 1978.

or parcel of land contained in Rockingham Lot

1304 the subject of Special Lease 3116/5215. .
