AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Buildings (Design and Siting) Ordinance

1964-1972.

of the Execut ive Counci l , hereby m a k e the following Ord inance under

the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910 -1972 .

1. ( 1 ) This Ord inance may be cited as the Buildings (Design and

Siting) Ordinance 1 9 7 3 . *

as amended by this Ord inance , may be cited as the Buildings	(Design
t Ordinance No. 20, 1964, as amended by N o . 39, 1967; No. 6, 1969; Nos. 11 and 21, 1970, and N o . 29. 1972.

2. T h e Building (Design and Siting) Ordinance 1964 -1972 is

amended by omit t ing section 4 and substi tuting the following s e c t i o n : —

" 4 . ( 1 ) Subject to this section, this Ord inance applies to and in

relat ion

t o —

( a )	buildings on land within the City A r e a ; and
(b)	buildings situated within an area of land outside the City

Area , being an area of land to which this Ord inance extends by vir tue of section 5.

" ( 2 ) Th i s O r d i n a n c e does no t apply to o r in relat ion to buildings on

land tha t is vested in the C o m m o n w e a l t h	otherwise than in reversion.
" ( 3 )	This O r d i n a n c e does no t apply to o r in relat ion to the erect ion

o r a l tera t ion of a bui ld ing in accordance w i t h —

( a )	a permi t issued by the p roper authori ty appoin ted under the
Building Ordinance 1 9 6 4 - 1 9 7 0 ; o r
(b)	a permit issued by the Building Controller before the date
of c o m m e n c e m e n t of the Buildings (Design and Siting)
Ordinance 1 9 7 3 . " .
