An Act to Amend "The Building Societies Acts, 1886 THE BUILDING SOCIETIES ACTS AMENDMENT ACT OF 1943. to 1942," in a certain particular. [ASSENTED TO 23RD SEPTEMBER, 1943.] "BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, . by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- Short title 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as "The Building :~ struction. Societies Acts Amendment Act of 1943," and shall be read as one with *" The Building Societies Acts, 1886 to 1942," herein referred to as the Principal Act. Collective (2.) The Principal Act and this Act may collectively title. be cited as " The Building Societies Acts, 1886 to 1943." Amendment of the Principal Act. Amendment 2. Section twenty-six of the Principal Act is of s. 26. amended by omitting from the second paragraph (being the proviso) the following words, namely :-" and shall not at any time, in the case of a Terminating Society exceed three years' income on the shares for the time being in existence." oOfpAercatt. ion 3. The provisions of this Act shall continue in force until the expiration of five years after Australia ceases to be engaged in hostilities in the present War: Provided that the Governor in Council may by Order in Council from time to time extend the operation of this Act for such time as expressed in any such Order in Council concerned. * 50 v.
