Building Services (Registration) Amendment

Regulations (No. 2) 2017

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Regulations 2011.

I.   Citation

These regulations are the Building Services (Registration)
Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2017.

2.   Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)

regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on 1 September 2018.
3. Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Building Services (Registration)

4.            Regulation 31 amended

(1) In regulation 31(l) delete the Table and insert:

(2) In regulation 31(4) delete the definition of previously
registered.
(3) In regulation 31(4) in the definition of eligible person
paragraph (a) after "registered" insert:
as a painting practitioner

5.            Regulation 32 amended

In regulation 32 delete "small business management or estimating and specification,".

6.            Part 4 Division 4 inserted

At the end of Part 4 insert:

52. Painting practitioners: applications for registration
made before 1 September 2018

Despite regulation 31(1), in relation to an application for registration as a painting practitioner made, but not determined, before 1 September 2018, a qualification (if any) listed in a set in the Table, together with the experience (if any) listed in the same set, are prescribed for the purposes of section 17(1)(b) as qualifications and experience for painting practitioners.
