I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Building Services Corporation (Amendment) Act 1994, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 1995 as the day on which that Act (except Schedule 1 (1), (2), (4) and (7)–(10) and Schedule 1 (5) to the extent that it relates to proposed clause 22 of Schedule 4 to the Building Services Corporation Act 1989) commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
| The object of this Proclamation is to commence the | amendments to the Building |
| Services Corporation Act 1989 and the Consumer Claims | Tribunals Act 1987 contained |
in the Building Services Corporation (Amendment) Act 1994 except those relating to rectification orders. The amendments that are to commence relate to-the appointment of building dispute referees, complaints, discipline, insurance, the reconstitution of the Building Services Corporation as a memberless corporation, the creation of the Home Building Advisory Council and savings and transitional provisions.
