Building Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THOMAS UREN, the Minister of State for Territories and Local Government, hereby make the following Regulations under the Building Ordinance 1972.

1. After regulation 14 of the Building Regulations the following regulation

is inserted:

Specialized building work

"15. For the purposes of the definition of 'specialist building work' in

section 5 of the Ordinance, the following building work is prescribed:

(a)	the installation of a swimming pool;
(b)	the erection of a prefabricated building;
(c)	the installation of any mechanical ventilation system;
(d)	the removal or installation of asbestos insulation and fire-proofing material;
(e)	the demolition of a building;
(f)	the erection of an outbuilding, not being an outbuilding referred to in sub-section 5 (2A) of the Ordinance.".

Schedule 1

and

2. Schedule 1 to the Building Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from Form 1 —

"Date

[Signature of applicants or seal of company and signatures of officers in whose presence seal affixed]"

and substituting—
"The applicant specifies the following specialist building work for authorization by endorsement

on the licence:

(give details)

Date

[Signature of applicant(s) or seal of company and signatures of officers in whose presence seal affixed]";

(b) by omitting from Form 2—

"Date

[Signature of Applicant]"

(first occurring)

and substituting—
"I specify the following specialist building work for authorization by endorsement on the licence:

(give details)

Date

[Signature of Applicant]".
