Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) (Postponement) Regulation 2018 (Qld)

1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) (Postponement) Regulation 2018.

2   Postponed commencement of uncommenced provisions

(1)The period before automatic commencement, under the Acts Interpretation Act 1954, section 15DA(2), of the postponed law is extended to the end of 10 November 2019.

(2)In this section—

postponed law means the uncommenced provisions of the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017, other than—

(a)section 303A; and

(b)chapter 9, part 1, divisions 2 and 3.

The postponed law now automatically commences on 11 November 2019.

3   Expiry

This regulation expires on 12 November 2019.
