I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Building and Services Ordinance 1924

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Building and Services (Amendment)

Ordinance 1983.'

Commencement

2. This Ordinance shall come into operation on 1 October 1983.

Principal Ordinance

3. In this Ordinance, "Principal Ordinance" means the Building and

Services Ordinance 1924}

4. After section 3E of the Principal Ordinance the following sections are

inserted:

Power of Minister to determine fees

"3F. The Minister may, by notice in writing published in this Gazette,

Fees payable
"3G. A fee or charge determined under section 3F is payable to the Commonwealth in relation to the relevant matter specified in the notice referred to in that section, being a matter in respect of which the Minister may make regulations.".
Regulations

5. Section 4 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by omitting paragraph (1) (c);and

(b) by omitting from paragraph (1) (d) "and the fees payable therefor".
