AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Building and Services Ordinance

I 1924-1938, as amended by the Building and
Services Ordinance 1942.

BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice ot the Federal Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Seat of

Government (Administration) Act 1910-1940, as follows:—

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Building and short title

Services Ordinance (No. 2) 1942.* and citation.

(2.) Section one of the Building and Services Ordinance 1942 is amended by omitting sub-section (3.).

(3.) The Building and Services Ordinance 1924-1938, as amended by the Building and Services Ordinance 1942, is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(4.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Building and Services Ordinance 1924-1942.

2. Section one A of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Definition*

inserting in the definition of "services", after the word " receivers," the words " the planting, cutting and trimming of hedges,".

3. Section four of the Principal Ordinance is amended— Regulation.

(a) by adding at the end of paragraph (6) the words ", including the supply of services other than by agreement, and the liability of persons in respect of any services so supplied "; and

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

(b) by inserting after paragraph (cb) the following para-

graph :—

" (cc) the entry of persons on land for the purpose
of carrying out the provisions of this

Ordinance or of any Regulations made

thereunder; ".
