No. 17 of 1928.

AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Building and Services Ordinance

1924-1925.

BE it ordained by the Deputy of the Governor-General of the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the

Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal

Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909 and the Seat of Govern-
ment (Administration) Act 1910, as follows:—
1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Building and short title

Services Ordinance 1928.

(2.) The Building and Services Ordinance 1924-192."") is in this

Ordinance referred to as the Pr incipal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance,

may be cited as the Building and Services Ordinance 1924-1928.

2. This Ordinance shall be deemed to have commenced on the commencement,

fifth day of November One thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.

3 . Section one A of the Principal Ordinance is amended In Definition.

inserting, after the definition of " Commission ", the following
definition:—

" ' Services ' includes the supply of water or electricity, the provision of a sewerage system, the collection and disposal of garbage, and the construction of footpaths, kerbs and g u t t e r s . "

4. Section two of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Supply of

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

omitting the words " water, electricity, and other " .

5 . Section four of the Pr incipal Ordinance is amended by Regulations,

omitting paragraph (b) of sub-section (1.) and inserting in its

stead the following paragraph :—

" (b) the conditions upon which services may be supplied by

the Commission in the T e r r i t o r y ; " .
