Building and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 2009 Part 1 Preliminary [s 1] Part 1 Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Building and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 2009 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 January 2010. Part 2 Amendment of Building Regulation 2006 3 Regulation amended This part amends the Building Regulation 2006. 4 Amendment of s 51BE (Approval of amendment of QDC by replacing part MP4.1) (1) Section 51BE(1), ‘24 June 2009’— omit , insert — ‘ 27 November 2009’. (2) Section 51BE(2), ‘26 June 2009’— omit , insert — ‘1 January 2010’. 5 Insertion of new s 51BH After section 51BG— insert — Page 2 2009 SL No. 298

Building and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 2009 Part 3 Amendment of Electricity Regulation 2006 [s 6] ‘51BH Approval of amendment of QDC by replacing part MP4.3 ‘(1) The amendment of the QDC by replacing part MP4.3 published by the chief executive on 27 November 2009 is approved under section 13(3) of the Act. ‘(2) The approval takes effect on 1 January 2010.’. Part 3 Amendment of Electricity Regulation 2006 6 Regulation amended This part amends the Electricity Regulation 2006. 7 Amendment of s 166A (Further restriction on sale of particular air conditioners) Section 166A(3), definition prescribed air conditioner — omit, insert — ‘ prescribed air conditioner means a single-phase or 3-phase air conditioner of the vapour compression type for which a minimum energy performance standard is stated under AS/NZS 3823—Performance of electrical appliances—airconditioners and heat pumps, part 2 Energy labelling and minimum energy performance standard (MEPS) requirements.’.
