Building and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2009 Part 1 Preliminary [s 1] Part 1 Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Building and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2009 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 March 2009. Part 2 Amendment of Building Regulation 2006 3 Regulation amended in pt 2 This part amends the Building Regulation 2006. 4 Insertion of new s 51BE After section 51BD— insert— ‘51BE Approval of amendment of QDC by replacing part MP4.1 ‘(1) The amendment of the QDC by replacing part MP4.1 published by the chief executive on 3 February 2009 is approved under section 13(3) of the Act. ‘(2) The approval takes effect on 1 March 2009.’. 5 Amendment of sch 1 (Prescribed building work for Act, section 21) Schedule 1— Page 2 2009 SL No. 17

Building and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2009 Part 3 Amendment of Integrated Planning Regulation 1998 [s 6] insert— ‘14 Work for particular air conditioners ‘Building work is prescribed if it consists of the installation, repair, maintenance or alteration of an air conditioner for cooling or heating a class 1 or class 2 building, other than an air conditioner that is an integral part of the building. Example of air conditioner that is an integral part of a building — air conditioner that is part of the fire safety system or mechanical ventilation system for the building’.
