SERVICE PAYMENTS ACT 1986—REGULATION
(Relating to prescribed awards)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Building and Construction Industry Long Service Payments Act 1986, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Building and Construction Industry Long Service Payments Regulation 1986 is amended:
| (a) | by omitting item (i) from Part 2 of clause 4 (1) and by inserting instead the following item: |
(i) National Building and Construction Industry Award 1990, as varied;
(b) by omitting item (iii) from Part 2 of clause 4 (I).
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Building and Construction Industry Long Service Payments Regulation 1986 by varying the list of prescribed Commonwealth awards in clause 4:
(a) by omitting from the list:
(i) the National Building and Construction Industry Labourers (On Site) Award 1986; and
(ii) the National Building Trades Construction Award (Federal); and by adding to the list the National Building and Construction Industry Award 1990.

The inserted award is an amalgamation of the f is t two awards, together with another Commonwealth award (not currently part of the list). It does not extend the categories of workers entitled to payments under the provisions of the Building and Construction Industry Long Service Payments Act 1986.
