Building Amendment Regulations 2024
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objectives
The objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Building Regulations 2018—
(a)to update the zones in planning schemes which provide different siting requirements to the siting requirements in those Regulations; and
(b)to amend the name of the Moreland Planning Scheme to the Merri-bek Planning Scheme.
2Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 7, 9, 261 and 262 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Building Act 1993.
3Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Building Regulations 2018[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
4Amendment of Schedule 6—Planning schemes
In Schedule 6 to the Principal Regulations—
(a)in items 5, 12, 19 and 44, before "General Residential Zone (GRZ)" insert "Residential Growth Zone (RGZ)";
(b)in items 6, 11, 13, 16, 28, 30, 39, 45 and 51, after "General Residential Zone (GRZ)" insert "Neighbourhood Residential Zone (NRZ)";
(c)in item 24, before "Residential Growth Zone (RGZ)" insert "Mixed Use Zone (MUZ)";
(d)in item 32—
