Building Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2013

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Building Regulations 2006 to remove and increase certain fees payable under the Building Act 1993.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 261 and 262 of the Building Act 1993.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2013.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Building Regulations 2006[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Application fee for certificate of consent

In regulation 202 of the Principal Regulations, for "$87.28" substitute "$89.46".

6Maximum fees for report and consent

(1)For regulation 312(1) of the Principal Regulations substitute

"(1)The maximum fee payable for the consideration by a responsible authority under the Planning and Environment Act 1987 as reporting authority of an application for a building permit referred to it under section 29A of the Act for report and consent is $59.62.".

(2)In regulation 312 of the Principal Regulations—

(a)in subregulation (2), for "$232.93" substitute "$238.75";

(b)in subregulation (3), for "$58.17" substitute "$59.62".

7Lodgement fees

In regulation 320 of the Principal Regulations, for "$34.85" substitute "$35.70".

8Fees for requests for information

In regulation 327 of the Principal Regulations, for "$46.45" substitute "$47.60".

9Accreditation fees

In regulation 1405(1) of the Principal Regulations, for "$1747.32" substitute "$1791.00".

10Duplicate certificate fee

In regulation 1508 of the Principal Regulations, for "$34.85" substitute "$35.72".

11Building Appeals Board fees

In regulation 1602 of the Principal Regulations—

(a)in paragraph (a)(i), for "$291.10" substitute "$298.37";

(b)in paragraph (a)(ii), for "$582.41" substitute "$596.97";

(c)in paragraph (b)(i), for "$174.71" substitute "$179.07";

(d)in paragraph (b)(ii), for "$291.10" substitute "$298.37";

(e)in paragraph (c)(i), for "$291.10" substitute "$298.37";
