AN ACT to validate certain Rates made and levied by the Council of the Municipality of Broome, and to enable the Broome Road Board to recover such Rates.

and with the advice and consent of the Legislative

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

This Act may be cited as

Broome Rates Validatin g Short title.

Act, 1920.

The general rate and health rate made and levied, or

purporting to have been made and levied by the Council of Rates.

the Municipality of Broome in the month of December, one

thousand nine hundred and eighteen, shall be deemed to have

been lawfully made and levied in respect of the period from

the first day of November to the thirty-first day of Decem-

ber, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and all things

necessary to be done towards the making and levying of such

rates shall be deemed to have been lawfully performed, not-

withstanding any failure to comply with the provisions of

the Municipal Corporations Act. 1906, relating thereto; and

the said rates, apportioned to such period as aforesaid, are

hereby vested in and shall be recoverable by the Broome

Road Board, and the provisions of section seventeen of the

Municipal Corporations Act, 1906, shall apply to such rates.
