Act No. 128, 1979.

An Act to amend the Broken Hill Water and Sewerage Act, 1938,
to increase the maximum amount which may be yielded by

the proceeds of a water rate and to enable the fee payable in

made under the Act. [Assented to, 13th November, 1979.]
respect of a certain certificate to be prescribed by the by-laws

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the "Broken Hill Water and Sewerage (Water Rate) Amendment Act, 1979".

(1 ) Except as provided in subsections (2) and ( 3 ) , this Act shall commence on the date of assent to this Act.

2 .

(2 ) Section 3 shall commence or be deemed to have commenced, as the case may require, on 1st November, 1979.

(3) Section 4 shall commence on such day as may be appointed by the Governor in respect thereof and as may be notified by proclamation published in the Gazette.

3. The Broken Hill Water and Sewerage Act, 1938, is amended by omitting from section 82 (1) the word "ten" and by inserting instead the matter "15".

The Broken Hill Water and Sewerage Act, 1938, is further amended by omitting from section 88 (3) the words "of twenty-five cents" and by inserting instead the words "prescribed by the by-laws".
