I, ANTHONY NORMAN ALBANESE, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, on behalf of the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy in accordance with an authorisation under section 34AAB of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901, hereby amend, under subsection 115(2) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992, the Broadcasting Services (Events) Notice (No. 1) 2010 made under subsection 115(1) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.

1.         Name of Notice

This Notice is the Broadcasting Services (Events) Notice (No. 1) 2010 (Amendment No. 9 of 2012).

2.         Commencement

This Notice commences on the day it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

3.         Definitions

In this Notice:

Principal Notice means the Broadcasting Services (Events) Notice (No. 1) 2010.

4.         Amendments

4.1       Omit Item 6.1 of the Schedule to the Principal Notice and substitute with the following:

6.1       Each international “test” match involving the senior Australian representative team selected by the Australian Rugby Union, played in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or Europe, except for:

(a)    the match to be played in Australia on 9 June 2012 between the senior Australian representative team selected by the Australian Rugby Union and the senior Welsh representative team; and

(b)   the match to be played in Australia on 16 June 2012 between the senior Australian representative team selected by the Australian Rugby Union and the senior Welsh representative team.
