IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title . I This Act may be cited as the Brisbane Milk Board Extension Act 1977. 2. Preservation a nd continuance in existence of The Brisbane Milk Board. (1) The Brisbane Milk Board constituted under the Milk Supply Act 1952-1972 shall, notwithstanding any failure to appoint a chairman and other members thereof in respect of any period commencing on or after 1 July 1977 pursuant to the provisions of that Act, be deemed for all purposes to have been preserved and continued in existence on and after that date and shall continue in existence until the commencement of the day notified by the Governor in Council in accordance with section 9 of the Milk Supply Act1977. (2) The chairman and other members of The Brisbane Milk Board holding office on 30 June 1977 shall, notwithstanding any provision of the Milk Supply Act 1952-1972, be deemed for all purposes to have continued and remained in office after that day and shall continue and remain in office, subject to that Act, until the commencement of the day notified by the Governor in Council in accodance with section 9 of the Milk Supply Act1977
