AN ACT to amend the Bread Act, 1903-1965

[Assented to 31st October, 1966.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

-" Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Bread Act	Short title
and citation.

Amendment Act, 1966.

(2)	In this Act the Bread Act, 1903-1965, is	Reprinted in
Vol. 13 of the

emended. 2. Section three B of the principal Act is

amended

(a)	by substituting for the words, "Twenty pounds" in line four of subsection (2), the words, "Forty dollars";
(b)	by substituting for the words, "one pound" in line five of subsection (2), the words, "two dollars"; and
(c)	by substituting for the words, "twelve shillings" in line four of subsection (4), the words, "one dollar twenty cents".

amended.	3. Section three C of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words, "five shillings" in line five of subsection (2), the words, "fifty cents".

amended. 5. Section six A of the principal Act is amended

(a)	by substituting for the passage, "ten pounds or more than twenty-five pounds" in lines eight and nine, the words, "twenty dollars or more than fifty dollars"; and
(b)	by substituting for the passage, "twenty- five pounds or more than one hundred pounds" in lines ten and eleven, the words, "fifty dollars or more than two hundred dollars".

6. The principal Act is amended by substituting the words, "twenty dollars or more than one hundred dollars" for the words, "ten pounds or more than fifty pounds" where occurring	Ss. 12 and
12A amended.

(a)	in the last two lines of subsection (2) of section twelve; and
(b)	at the end of section twelve A.

7. Section thirteen of the principal Act is :Onded.

amended by repealing subsection (1) and re-enact-

ing it with amendments as follows

(1) Subject to the provisions of section twelve A of this Act, it shall be unlawful for any person to sell or deliver any bread or Vienna bread for sale

(a)	between the hour of 7 p.m. on any Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and the hour of 7 a.m. on the day next following any such day;
(b)	between the hour of 7 p.m. on any Thursday and the hour of 6 a.m. on the following Friday;
(c)	between the hour of 7 p.m. on any Friday and the hour of 5 a.m. on the following Saturday;
(d)	between the hour of 7 p.m. on any Saturday and the hour of 6 a.m. on the following Monday;
(e)	between the hour of 7 p.m. on the day next preceding a baker's holiday and the hour of 6 a.m. on the day following that holiday, unless that following day is Easter Saturday when the last- mentioned hour shall be 5 a.m. in lieu of 6 a.m.;

and for the purposes of this subsection delivery is deemed to commence when the delivery vehicle leaves the place where the bread or Vienna bread to be sold or delivered is loaded on that vehicle.

Penalty: Not less than twenty dollars or more

than one hundred dollars. .

amended by deleting the words, "or the district of

such board" in the last two lines.

amended. 9. Section eighteen of the princip91 Act is amended by substituting for the words, "twenty pounds" in the last line of subsection (1), the words, "forty dollars".

Section twenty-four of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words, "five pounds or more than fifty pounds" where occurring in the last two lines of subsection (1), and again in the last two lines of subsection (2), the words, "ten dollars or more than one hundred dollars" in each case.
