AN ACT to amend the law relating to the

Branding of Live Stock.

[ Assented to, 18th September, 1885.]

HEREAS it is expedient to amend the Brands Acts of

Wwithin their provisions: Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency1881 and 1882, so as to include camels, goats, and pigs

the Governor of Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:—

THIS Act may be cited as " The Brands Act, 1881, Amend-

2.     THIS . Act shall come into force on the first day of January, Commencement of

as cattle, and all the provisions of the said Act shall apply to camels in as full and ample a manner as if camels had been included by the said Act within the definition of the word " cattle."

FROM and after the commencement of this Act all the provisions of " The Brands Act, 1881," and "The Brands Act, 1881, Amendment Act, 1882," relating to earmarks for sheep shall apply to goats and pigs in as full and ample a manner as if the words " goats and pigs " or the words " goats or pigs," as the context may require, were inserted after the word " sheep " un the said Acts.

Acts to apply to

goats and pigs.

5.      ALL the forms set forth in the schedules to " The Brands Act,

Alteration of forms. 1881," may be altered (if necessary) so as to make them applicable to

camels, goats, or pigs.
