Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Branding of Pigs (Fees) Variation Regulations 2008.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on 1 July 2008.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

Part 2—Variation of Branding of Pigs Regulations 2003

4—Substitution of Schedule 1

Schedule 1—delete the Schedule and substitute:

Schedule 1—Fees

Fee to accompany an application for the allotment and registration of a brand—see section 6(1) of the Act

$27.00

2

Fee to be lodged with a memorandum of transfer of a registered brand—see section 7 of the Act

$16.20

3

Fee to accompany an application for the renewal or reinstatement of the registration of a brand—see section 10(4)(b) of the Act

$27.00

Note—

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
