Boxing Control Regulations

The Australian Capital Territory Executive makes the following Regulations under the Boxing Control Act 1993.

Citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Boxing Control Regulations.
Commencement
2. (1) Regulation 1 and this regulation commence on the day on which these Regulations are notified in the Gazette.
(2) Regulations 3 and 4 commence, or shall be taken to have commenced, as the case requires, on 10 July 1993.
Interpretation
3. In these Regulations—
“the Act” means the Boxing Control Act 1993.
Prescribed contests, displays and exhibitions
4. For the purposes of the definition of “boxing contest” in section 3 of the Act, the kick boxing contest, display or exhibition at the Albert Hall, Commonwealth Avenue, Canberra on 10 July 1993 promoted by Gregory Martin Hinton is a prescribed contest, display or exhibition.
