Bounty (Paper) Regulations (Cth)
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia,
acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the
following Regulations under the

"authorized agent" means a person appointed under regulation 6 to be an authorized agent;
"the Act" means the
Bounty (Paper) Act 1 979.
(a) each reel or palletized ream of bountiable paper sold by the manufacturer shall be allotted numbers or symbols from which the date and number of the production run in which that reel or palletized ream was manufactured may be determined;
(b) the numbers or symbols allotted to a reel or palletized ream of bountiable paper shall be marked on the reel or palletized ream by means of a stencil or on a tag that is securely fixed to the reel or palletized ream.
(a) shall be in writing;
(b) shall be signed by, or on behalf of, the manufacturer of the paper in the presence of a witness;
(c) shall state the name and address of the witness and contain a declaration signed by the witness stating that the application was signed in the presence of the witness; and
(d) shall be delivered to the Collector for the State or Territory in which the manufacture of the paper was completed or, if there is no such Collector, to the Comptroller-General—
(i) except where sub-paragraph (ii) applies—within a period of 3 months after the relevant date in relation to the application; or
(ii) where the Minister or an authorized person has consented to an extension of the period referred to in sub-paragraph (i) in relation to the application—within a period of not more than 12 months after the relevant date in relation to the application.
(a) a request in writing for an extension of that period has (whether before or after the expiration of that period) been made by, or on behalf of, the manufacturer of the paper; and
(b) the application could not, or cannot, reasonably be expected to have been made, or to be made, within the period specified in sub-paragraph (1) (d) (i).
"authorized person" means a person appointed in writing by the Minister to be an authorized person for the purposes of this regulation;
"relevant date", in relation to an application for bounty in respect of bountiable paper, means—
(a) if the bountiable paper was sold by the manufacturer before the date of commencement of these Regulations—that date; or
(b) if paragraph (a) does not apply in relation to the bountiable paper—the date on which the bountiable paper was sold by the manufacturer.
(a) the name and address of the manufacturer of the paper;
(b) the address of the registered premises at which the paper was manufactured;
(c) in respect of bountiable coated paper—
(i) the date on which the paper was sold by the manufacturer;
(ii) the weight of the paper sold; and
(iii) the date on which the manufacture of the paper sold was completed;
(d) in respect of bountiable uncoated paper—
(i) the date on which the paper was sold by the manufacturer;
(ii) the weight of the paper sold; and
(iii) the date on which the manufacture of the paper sold was completed;
(e) the amount of bounty applied for;
(f) whether an application for bounty has been made in respect of other paper that has been sold by the manufacturer in the same period to which the Act applies as the paper to which the present application relates and, if such an application has been made—
(i) the date of the application;
(ii) the amount of bounty applied for in the application;
(iii) the date of any payment made by way of bounty or advance on account of bounty in respect of the paper referred to in the application; and
(iv) the amount of any payment made by way of bounty or advance on account of bounty, as the case may be;
(g) whether a previous application for bounty has been made in respect of the paper to which the present application relates and, if such an application has been made—
(i) the date of the application;
(ii) the reason for making the application that is now being made;
(iii) the date of any payment made by way of bounty or advance on account of bounty in respect of the paper; and
(iv) the amount of any payment made by way of bounty or advance on account of bounty, as the case may be.
