An Act to sanction the carrying out of a scheme
of Sewerage for the dis tr ic ts of Botany and

Nor th B o t a n y ; and for purposes consequent

the reupon or incidental there to . [22nd

December, 1910.]

WH E R E A S in accordance wi th t h e provisions of the Pub l i c

W o r k s Ac t , . 1900, t he Legis la t ive Assembly did by resolut ion

declare that it was exped ien t to carry out a cer ta in work, namely , t h e ca r ry ing out of a scheme of sewerage for t he distr icts of Bo tany and N o r t h Botany : A n d whereas , on t he pass ing of the said resolut ion,

a	s t a tu to ry d u t y was by the said	Ac t imposed	on t h e Secretary for
Pub l i c W o r k s to in t roduce a	Bill	in to t h e said	Assembly to sanct ion

the ca r ry ing ou t of t h e said work : Be it therefore enacted by the

K i n g ' s Most Exce l l en t Majes ty , by and wi th t h e advice and consent

of the Legislat ive Counci l and Legis la t ive Assembly of New South
W a l e s in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, and by the au tho r i t y of t he same, as
follows : —

1 . This A c t may be cited as t he " B o t a n y and N o r t h B o t a n y

Sewerage Ac t , 1910."

2 .     (1) The car ry ing out of the works, more pa r t i cu l a r ly

described in the Schedule to th is Act , is hereby sanct ioned, a n d t h e

Secre tary for Pub l i c W o r k s , or the m e m b e r of the Execu t i ve Counci l

for the t ime be ing per forming t he duties of the said Secretary, is
hereby authorised to u n d e r t a k e and car ry out t he said works, subjec t

to the provisions of this Ac t , and for t h a t purpose shall be and shal l

have t h e powers and dut ies of a Cons t ruc t i ng A u t h o r i t y w i th in the

mean ing of t he Pub l i c W o r k s Act , 1900.

(2) The said work is hereby declared to be a work au thor i sed

exceed the es t imated cost by more than t en per cen tum. SCHEDULE.

3 .    The plan of the said works is t h e plan m a r k e d " Bo tany

and N o r t h Botany Sewerage W o r k s , " signed by the Secretary for
P u b l i c W o r k s , and counte rs igned by t h e Chief Eng inee r for I r r iga t ion

and Dra inage , and deposited in t h e publ ic office of t he said Secre tary .

4 .     The cost of ca r ry ing out t he said works, es t imated a t two

h u n d r e d and twen ty thousand two h u n d r e d and t w e n t y pounds , may

be defrayed from such loan votes as are now, or m a y hereaf ter be,

appl icable to t h a t purpose , a n d shall not , u n d e r any c i rcumstances ,

SCHEDULE.

THE construction of sowers, pumping stations, rising mains, and all works incidental
thereto and necessary for the sewerage of the districts numbered 2, .'5, 4, 5, and 6 on the

said deposited plan.

The works to be subject to such deviations an I modifications, omissions, or

extensions as may, from time to time, be deemed necessary by the Constructing Authority.
