VY Thomas Francis Stubbin, and Samuel Dover are the registered proprietors in fee-simple, under " The Beal Property Acts, 1851 to 18b7," of a certain parci 1 of land. situated in the town of Dugandan, parish of' Coochin, county of Ward, containing one rood thirty-three perches, being allotment one of section eight, more particularly described in Certificate of Titic; Number 100140, Volume 1182, Folio 1.50, upon trust for a School of Arts: * 25 Vie. No. 14 ; 41 Vie. .No. 18 ; 48 Vie. No. 4 ; and 51 Vic. No. 3, supra, pages 2984 et seq.

And whereas the said Trustees have erected upon the said land a building containing a hall, reading-room, library, and other offices, and have used the same as a School of Arts, and it is now found necessary to enlarge and otherwise improve the said buildings and to provide additional furniture and equipment for the same: And whereas it is expedient that the said Trustees should be empowered to mortgage the said land, together with the buildings thereon, and to use the moneys arising from such mortgage for the aforesaid purposes : Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as " The Boonah School of Arts Land Mortgage Act of 1911." Interpreta- tion. 2. In this Act the expression "the Trustees" means and includes the said John Blooper, Campbell Thomas McDonald, Thomas Francis Stubbin., and Samuel Dover and their successors. Trustees may 3. The Trustees may mortgage the whole or any mortgage. portion or portions of the said lands for any sum or sums of money not exceeding at any one time the sum of eight hundred pounds, and in such manner as may be directed by the Committee of' Management of the said School of Arts for the time being, testified in writing under the hands of the members of the said committee or of a majority of them. Mortgage 4. Every mortgage given or made in pursuance of mpoawyecroonftain the powers aforesaid may contain a power of sale by the sale, &c. mortgagee, his executors, administrators, or assigns in case of default in payment of any principal or interest moneys secured by such mortgage, or by breach of any of the conditions therein contained. A pplical ion 5. All moneys to arise from any mortgage made in ooff pmroocrtegeadgse. pursuance of the powers aforesaid shall be expended in the following order, so far as the same shall extend, that is to say, in payment of— (1.) The reasonable expenses of and attending such mortgage; (ii.) The costs of applying for, obtaining, and passing this Act;

Excellency Sir William MacGregor, Governor of the State of Queensland, and under the seal of the said State, dated the fifteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and numbered 97761, a certain piece of land therein described, and containing by admeasurement two roods two and six-tenths perches more or less, situated in the county of Stanley, parish of North Bris- bane, City of Brisbane, being allotment 3 of section 60A, City of Brisbane, was granted by His Majesty unto William Berry, John Tait, William Sydney Austin, Andrew Spink, and James Lloyd, and their successors for ever, as trustees upon trust as a reserve for a Friendly Societies Hospital and for no other purpose whatsoever: And whereas it is expedient that the said trustees should be empowered to mortgage the said land, and to use the
