| 1. The occupier of any W a r e h o u s e appoin ted or hereafter t o be appointed for t h e free warehous ing and secur ing goods there in unde r t he provisions of t he said recited Ac t shall w h e n such Warehouse shall have been measured as hereinafter provided pay to t he Collector of Customs or o ther p roper officer a n a n n u a l duty of fifty pounds and for t he capaci ty of such W a r e h o u s e to contain more t h a n fifty tons shall pay for each addi t ional t e u t o n s of capacity t h e addi t ional a n n u a l du ty of one pound such du ty to be paid on the thir ty-first day of | M a r c h |

whereas i t is expedient to impose du ty on such Warehouses Be i t therefore enacted b y t h e Queen ' s Most Exce l len t Majesty by and wi th t h e advice and consent of t h e Legislat ive Counci l and Legislat ive Assembly of New South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by the au tho r i t y of t h e same as follows :—
M a r c h in every year and for any ar rears of such du ty i t shal l be lawful for t h e said Collector to dis t ra in as for r e n t Provided t h a t no such
P o n d e d Store shall be chargeable wi th a duty exceeding th ree h u n d r e d
pounds pe r a n n u m . 2. The cubical con ten ts of every such "Warehouse shall he
ascer tained by admeasurement of t h e in te rna l space to be m a d e by the Collector of Cus toms or o ther officer appointed by h i m for t h a t pu r pose who shall m a k e and keep entr ies of such m e a s u r e m e n t in a book to be kep t by h i m for t h a t purpose and shall calculate forty cubic feet of space to t he ton Prov ided t h a t no t more t h a n t en feet in he igh t shal l be measured upon each floor or s tory of such Bonded Store .
3. N o addi t ion to or a l te ra t ion of any such W a r e h o u s e shall be
m a d e after m e a s u r e m e n t and no fresh means of access or egress in to or ou t of such W a r e h o u s e shall be m a d e wi thou t t h e permiss ion of t h e Collector or o the r pr inc ipa l officer of Cus toms and in case of any violation of th i s provision the occupier of any such W a r e h o u s e shall forfeit a n d pay the s u m of five h u n d r e d pounds to be sued for recovered and applied in t h e m a n n e r provided by t h e one hund red and e igh th
and one h u n d r e d and n in th sections of t h e above-ment ioned Act .
