Boating (Whyalla Zoning) Regulations 1991 (SA)

No. 30 of 1991:
1. These regulations may be cited as the
Boating (Whyalla Zoning) Regulations 1991 .
2. In these regulations—
"controlled area 1" means that portion of the waters of the sea at Whyalla delineated on the
plan in the schedule as controlled area 1:
"controlled area 2" means that portion of the waters of the sea at Whyalla delineated on the
plan in the schedule as controlled area 2:
"controlled area 3" means that portion of the waters of the sea at Whyalla delineated on the
plan in the schedule as controlled area 3.
3. A person who—
takes a motor boat into controlled area 1 or controlled area 3; | |
or | |
causes or permits a motor boat to enter controlled area 1 or controlled area 3, |
is guilty of an offence.
Penalty: Division 10 fine.
4. A person who, within controlled area 2—
operates a vessel at a speed exceeding eight kilometres per hour; | |
or | |
engages in water skiing, aquaplaning or is towed in any other manner, where the vessel by which he or she is towed is operated at a speed exceeding eight kilometres per hour, |
is guilty of an offence.
Penalty: Division 10 fine.
