Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Boating (Stansbury Zoning) Regulations 1992.

Interpretation

2. In these regulations—

"controlled area 1" means that portion of the waters of the sea at Stansbury delineated on

the plan in the schedule as controlled area 1:

"controlled area 2" means that portion of the waters of the sea at Stansbury delineated on

the plan in the schedule as controlled area 2.

Note: For definition of divisional penalties see Appendix 2.

Speed limit in controlled areas 1 and 2

3. A person who, within controlled area 1 or controlled area 2—

(a)

operates a vessel at a speed exceeding eight kilometres per hour;

or

(b)

engages in water-skiing, aquaplaning or is towed in any other manner at a speed exceeding eight kilometres per hour,

is guilty of an offence.

Penalty: Division 10 fine.
