Boating (North Shields Zoning) Regulations 1991

Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Boating (North Shields Zoning) Regulations 1991.

Interpretation

2. In these regulations—

"the restricted speed zone" means that portion of the waters of the sea at North Shields

delineated in bold on the plan in the schedule as a restricted speed zone.

Note: For definition of divisional provisions see Appendix.

Speed limit in restricted speed zone

3. A person who, within the restricted speed zone—

(a)	operates a vessel at a speed exceeding eight kilometres per hour;
or
(b)	engages in water-skiing, aquaplaning or is towed in any other manner at a speed exceeding eight kilometres per hour,

is guilty of an offence.

Penalty: Division 10 fine.
