Board of Adult and Community Education Repeal Act 2008 (NSW)

An Act to repeal the Board of Adult and Community Education Act 1990; and for related purposes.

1Name of Act

This Act is the Board of Adult and Community Education Repeal Act 2008.

2Commencement

This Act commences on the date of assent to this Act.

3Repeal of Board of Adult and Community Education Act 1990 No 119

The Board of Adult and Community Education Act 1990 is repealed.

4Members of Board to vacate office

A person who, immediately before the repeal of the Board of Adult and Community Education Act 1990, held office as a member of the Board of Adult and Community Education:

• (a)

  ceases to hold that office on that repeal, and

• (b)

  is not entitled to any remuneration or compensation because of the loss of that office.

5Amendment of other Act and Regulation

The Act and Regulation specified in Schedule 1 are amended as set out in that Schedule.

6Repeal of Act(1)

This Act is repealed on the day following the day on which this Act commences.

(2)

The repeal of this Act does not, because of the operation of section 30 of the Interpretation Act 1987, affect any amendment or repeal made by this Act.

Freedom of Information Regulation 2005

Omit the matter relating to the Board of Adult and Community Education wherever occurring from Parts 2 and 3 of the Schedule.
