Blood and Tissue (Transmissible Diseases)

Amendment Regulations 2016

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.           Citation

These regulations are the Blood and Tissue (Transmissible
Diseases) Amendment Regulations 2016.

2.   Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on 13 March 2016.

3. Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Blood and Tissue (Transmissible

Diseases) Regulations 1985.

4.            Schedule 1 amended

In Schedule 1:

(a) delete "All donations" and insert:

Donations

(b) delete "syphilis." and insert:

syphilis, unless a collection is unsuccessful or your sample cannot be tested for technical reasons. If your sample is not tested your donation will not be used.

(c) delete "sign this declaration" and insert:

(d)	after "within a week after donating," insert:
or you are diagnosed or hospitalised with a serious infection within 2 months after donating,
(e)	in the boxed signature panel at the end of each of the dot point insert:
