| for a park or place for public recreation Be it therefore enacted by | |
| the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South "Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :— |
1. So much of the first section of the said Act (thirty-six
Victoria number ten) as limits the area to be set apart and dedicated
for purposes of public recreation to one-fourth part o f the entire area
reclaimed thereunder and as provides for the sale or letting of the lands
so reclaimed and for the erection thereon o f dwelling-houses shops
| stores or w a r e h o u s e s is hereby | repealed. |
2. The whole of the area reclaimed under the authority of the
said Act shall be and the same is hereby declared to be set apart and dedicated in perpetuity as a park or place of public recreation And this enactment shall be construed to extend all the provisions (so far as they can be applied) of the " Public Parks Act of 1 8 5 1 " to the area so reclaimed.
