Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration (Fees) Regulations 2006

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to increase the fees in Schedule 2 to the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulations 1997.

2.Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 59 of the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1996.

3.Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 19 June 2006.

4.New regulation substituted

In Schedule 2 to the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulations 1997[1]—

(a)in item 1, for "$41.00" substitute "$58.80";

(b)in item 1A, for "$41.00" substitute "$58.80";

(c)in item 1B, for "$58.50" substitute "$84.60";

(d)in item 2, for "$41.00" substitute "$58.80";

(e)in item 3, for "$8.75" substitute "$12.90";

(f)in item 4, for "$8.75" substitute "$12.90";

(g)in item 5, for "$17.50" substitute "$25.80".
