Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration

Amendment Regulations 2007

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Births, Deaths and Marriages
Registration Amendment Regulations 2007.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows:

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b) the rest of the regulations — on 1 July 2007.

3.             The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Births, Deaths
and Marriages Registration Regulations 1999*.

4.             Regulations 3 and 4 replaced

Regulations 3 and 4 are repealed and the following regulations
are inserted instead —

3.             Term used in these regulations

In these regulations —

“10 year search” means a search about a particular

registrable event that is conducted in the Register,
an index to the Register or both in respect of a
period of 10 consecutive years or less.

4.             Fees

The fees set out in column 3 of the Table to this
regulation are payable in respect of the corresponding
matters set out in column 2 of the Table.
