His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1995.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to increase, from $25 to $27.50, the minimum fee payable for each special service in relation to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages for which no fee is otherwise provided in Schedule 1 to the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulation 1996. The fee for each such special service is a fee approved by the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages having regard to the work involved in providing the service.
This Regulation is made under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act

1995, including sections 54 and 62 (the general regulation-making power).

Amendment (Fees) Regulation 2000.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 2000.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

4 Amendment of Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulation 1996

The Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulation 1996 is amended by omitting from item 9 of Schedule 1 (Fees) the matter “25.00” and by inserting instead the matter “27.50”.
