1—Short title
These regulations may be cited as the Bills of Sale (Requirements as to Instruments) Regulations 1995.
2—Commencement
These regulations will come into operation on 1 September 1995.
3—Revocation
The Bills of Sale Act (Paper for Instruments) Regulations 1984 (see Gazette 22.3.1984 p737) are revoked.
4—Requirements relating to paper used for Bills of Sale etc
The following requirements are prescribed under section 38A of the Bills of Sale Act 1886 in relation to the paper on which bills of sale and other instruments lodged with the Registrar for registration or filing under that Act are written:
(a)the paper must be A4 size (210 millimetres in width and 297 millimetres in length); and
(b)the weight of the paper must be at least 80 grams per square metre; and
(c)the paper must not be discoloured or have any other defect.
